About Us (photos coming soon to this page)
We are located in Townsend Montana, which is about 40 miles south of Helena. Our family is part of the Hahn Ranch, which has been a working cattle ranch since the early 1900's. Our two children Emily and Tanner will be the fifth generation to ride horses and work cattle on the family ranch in the scenic Broadwater Valley.
We take great pride in our breeding program and strive to produce sturdy athletic horses, with excellent conformation and minds. Color is always a bonus but never specifically bred for! Our breeding strategy is to cross reining/cutting bred mares to our running/heading stallion Vellhos Blue Prize. By doing this, we are consistently getting big boned, muscular horses with superior intelligence and minds that are exceptionally athletic and cowy. When choosing broodmares we always select disposition and conformation over pedigree. If a mare does not consistently produce top quality foals that are physically correct and easy to train, she does not stay in our band!
Trainers love working with our young prospects and we know you will too.
"We continually strive to produce versatile, intelligent horses with good minds and correct conformation, regardless of color."
